In today’s economy, an increasing number of corporate executives, academicians, and individual organizational contributors are looking for other (or additional) avenues to bring their skills and talents to the marketplace. Career, Personal & Skill Assessments
The career and personal assessment is a strategy that the firm of Valorie Jennings uses to understand the internal and external challenges our clients may be encountering, as they explore whether starting a business is an appropriate next step.
Strength, preference, and temperament instruments such as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and DiSC are used to assist our clients in identifying their varying styles and characteristics, as they apply to identifying the "right" type of business. We also assess transferable skills.
Legal and Financial Consulting
Legal and financial consultants provide information on the various types of business structures and on the financial considerations for starting a business. While we encourage our clients to retain their own lawyers, accountants, and financial advisors, we provide an overview and prepare our clients to ask the right questions.
Business Planning
Our consultants will point you in the right direction for developing your business plan. We can assist you in refining your ideas and in editing your plan. Also, there are scores of free and low-cost resources that are available — if you know where to look. We can help you locate them. This part of our practice is designed to take the mystery out of the process.
